POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Compliance Expert with a strong legal or information security background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of extensive experience in data compliance, particularly within the European regulatory landscape. This role requires deep expertise in GDPR, the Data Act, the Consumer Rights Act (CRA), and other relevant data protection laws. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring our compliance frameworks meet global standards, with a focus on the home appliance manufacturing or related industries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee data compliance initiatives across multiple jurisdictions in Europe. Interpret, implement, and monitor compliance with GDPR, Data Act, CRA, and other applicable data protection regulations.
Develop and maintain company-wide data protection policies, procedures, and training programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, IT security, product, and operations to ensure data compliance.
Manage data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs).
Provide expert guidance on data transfer mechanisms, cross-border data flows, and international compliance requirements.
Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and internal stakeholders on compliance audits and investigations.
Support business development and product teams with compliance risk assessments in the home appliance sector or related industries.
Stay updated on evolving data protection laws and industry best practices to proactively adapt compliance strategies.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years of experience in data compliance, data privacy, or related legal/information security roles.
Strong legal or information security background with proven expertise in European data protection laws including GDPR, Data Act, CRA.
Prior experience working at a top-tier international law firm or a globally recognized corporation.
Demonstrated experience managing multinational data compliance programs.
Familiarity with the home appliance manufacturing industry or closely related sectors is highly preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and lead cross-border compliance projects.
Advanced degree in Law, Information Security, or related field.
Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CISSP are a plus.
