We’re working with a major player in the European space sector, supporting two high-profile space missions launching in the next 2 years. They are seeking an experienced
GNSS Software Engineer
to join on a long-term freelance basis and help drive forward their navigation systems. You would be lead over team members in developing real-time software application for embedded systems as well as verification and validation procedures for a GNSS receiver. This role focuses on the acquisition and tracking involved in GNSS receivers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate GNSS software for space-based receivers.Implement and optimize navigation algorithms on SoC platformsProvide domain-level guidance to software teams and support junior engineers.Ensure system readiness for upcoming flight missions.Expertise in signal acquisition (serial search, parallel code phase, frequency domain)Skilled in tracking loop design (DLL, PLL, FLL) for accurate synchronization
Profile:
Experienced GNSS Engineer with deep knowledge of receiver architectureStrong background in GNSS algorithm implementation.Prior leadership or mentoring experience is highly valued.Proficient in both software and hardware implementationsStrong ability to balance performance, complexity, and power consumption
