For our office in Barcelona, we are looking for an: Intermodal Commercial Senior Expert(f/m/d)in Spain and reporting to the ILS Supervisor.
The Role:
We are looking for a high performing Intermodal Commercial Senior Expert to assist us in our customer acquisition, expanding network and revenue growth targets for our intermodal network products.
Being responsible for achieving growth and reaching sales targets by maximizing carrier haulage proportion on all trades and multi modal solutions.
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market and monitor competition and provide benchmarking studies.
Stay up to date with new products, services and pricing strategies.
Ensure high service and after sales service.
Duties & Accountabilities:
Develop sales tools, presentations, tariff policies etc.
Mapping of all inland depots and inland terminals
Develop hinterland strategy, relation with strategic inland terminals, strengthen cooperation
Build and promote strong and long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs; sales of inland transport to strategic clients, offer tailor made solutions for long term relationships
Present sales revenue and expenses reports and forecast to Management team
Identifying emerging intermodal markets, modal shifts and awareness of new intermodal products and competition
In close collaboration with VAS Manager, will assist in setting objectives for commercial team and coach, monitor performance of sales representatives
Develop and implement a comprehensive intermodal business strategy aimed at expanding the company's customer base in carrier haulage while establishing a strong and competitive presence in the market
Required Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English
Apprenticeship in the shipping or logistic sector or university degree with logistics / marketing focus
Transport planning experience
Good geographical knowledge of Spain
Minimum 5 years of experience in the shipping industry and sales
Computer Skills: MS Office
Attention to detail, customer focus and commercial awareness
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure
