The Indirect Procurement Associate will report to the Vice President of Procurement NA and support activity related to indirect services and equipment. Specific responsibilities of this position include those pertaining to Category Management, Procurement Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Performance Management, Procedure Compliance, and Contract Negotiations. Must be able to manage related activities within procurement systems.
This position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the indirect procurement activities as they relate to the Business including Request for Proposal development & evaluation, supplier selection, contract negotiation and award recommendation, and Supplier Performance Management.
* Ensure compliance with Repsol corporate policies and procedures.
* Utilize category knowledge to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
* Advise stakeholders on procurement planning and strategic initiatives.
* Lead fact-based negotiations and execute contracts utilizing approved terms and conditions in collaboration with Legal counsel.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop contracting plans and category strategies.
* Build and facilitate strategic relationships between internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
* Interface closely with stakeholders to identify and align requirements with supplier capabilities and company best practices.
* Identify and initiate projects that will increase efficiency and streamline the procurement function.
* Define and manage continuous process improvement initiatives and ensure lessons learned are implemented.
Requirements and Education
* Fully authorized to work in the US for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related area.
* 3 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management.
* Application of key SCM abilities including sourcing, negotiation and contracting.
* Well-developed understanding of indirect procurement and/or related categories.
* Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience.
* Ability to implement strategies and actions through persuasion.
* Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
* Excellent networking, communication and interpersonal skills complemented by the ability to develop and sustain strategic relationships.
* Solid project management, financial analysis and cost management skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Strong knowledge of SAP S4Hana and Ariba.
