We are looking for a commercially minded Field Applications Engineer to help accelerate growth across EMEA by solving customer challenges, winning technical opportunities, and turning market insight into future innovation. This high‐impact role combines customer engagement, hands‐on application expertise, and strategic collaboration across Sales, Marketing, and R&D.
Responsibilities
Strategic Selection & Design‐In: Analyse customer requirements to specify the optimal product solution from the portfolio.
Voice of the Customer (VOC): Systematically collect and synthesize customer feedback on product performance gaps, application needs, and market trends to influence the CBI roadmap.
On‐Site Process Optimization: Lead application trials to optimise installation characteristics, cure cycles, and surface preparation protocols.
Technical Sales Partnership: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical justification for product value, helping to secure "Design Wins".
CBI Product Launch: Coordinate field testing of pre‐launch products, ensuring real‐world performance data is captured and communicated to the R&D team.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
Experience in industrial technical sales, applications engineering, product support, or a similar customer‐facing technical role.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving ability.
Commercial awareness and ability to support growth opportunities.
Comfortable working independently across multiple countries/customers.
Strong communication and relationship‐building skills.
Willingness to travel across EMEA – 50%.
Fluent English required; additional European languages advantageous.
Compensation€70,000 – €90,000 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits in line with local country practice.
