About the role:
As the Hotel Director of Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville, you will lead the full operational management of the hotel, ensuring excellence across all service areas while aligning with the brand narrative and corporate standards. You will steer budgeting processes, guest satisfaction strategies, sustainability initiatives, and operational synergies with other business units. Your leadership will be essential in guaranteeing high-quality service, operational efficiency, and the delivery of memorable guest experiences.
What will your key responsibilities be?
- Oversee the full operational cycle of the hotel, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, F&B;, Entertainment, Shops, Spa, GEB, Maintenance, and Health & Safety.
- Lead the annual budgeting process (operational costs, expenses, staffing, extra revenues, CAPEX) and monitor performance against targets.
- Supervise the implementation of operational procedures, policies, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor hotel KPIs including occupancy, room inventory, density ratios, operational costs, staff turnover, absenteeism, carbon footprint, and energy consumption.
- Ensure guest satisfaction goals are met (ReviewPro, C-Score, NPS) and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate sales forecasts with the commercial team, analyzing historical data and budget alignment.
- Support ESG initiatives, including audits, events, environmental management, and sustainability programs.
- Oversee monthly operational and financial closures, identifying deviations and establishing corrective actions.
- Manage complaints and incidents following legal, reputational, and risk-management criteria.
- Supervise procurement needs, logistics, and supplier management, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
- Coordinate operational contingencies with Commercial, Development & Innovation, Maintenance, and Security.
- Monitor the condition of hotel assets and support maintenance and replacement planning.
- Oversee CAPEX project execution with Construction, Operations, Finance, Sustainability, and Maintenance.
- Lead departmental communication, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and team motivation.
- Ensure full compliance with operational manuals, health & safety regulations, environmental protocols, and internal audits.
What are we looking for?
- University degree preferred in Tourism, Business Administration, or related fields; postgraduate studies in Hotel Management are valued.
- 5-7 years of international hotel management experience (preferably Caribbean all-inclusive), with 2-3 years in team and budget management.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations: Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, F&B;, Entertainment, Shops, GEB, Spa, Maintenance, and Health & Safety.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and strong understanding of destination markets.
- Languages: Spanish and English required; a third language is a plus.
Solid command of office tools and hotel management systems.
