Overview:
A leading global commodities brokerage firm is seeking an experienced .NET C# Azure Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6-month remote contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact platforms within a fast-paced front-office environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using .NET / C#
* Build and optimise cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure
* Develop APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations
* Work closely with business stakeholders, traders, and operations teams
* Improve performance, resilience, and security across trading platforms
* Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud infrastructure
* Contribute to architecture decisions and best engineering practices
Required Skills
* Strong commercial experience with .NET / C# development
* Proven hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure
* Experience building REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices
* Solid knowledge of SQL Server and data-driven applications
* Familiarity with Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, and DevOps pipelines
* Experience working in financial services, commodities, trading, or brokerage environments is highly desirable
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team
Nice to Have
* Experience with real-time pricing or market data systems
* Knowledge of oil, energy, or commodities trading workflows
* Exposure to event streaming and messaging architectures
* Previous contract experience in regulated financial environments
