Senior Manager Social Media & Media
The Senior Manager Social Media & Media plays a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the global social media and traditional media presence of Sandoz within the Global Media and Digital Communications team. The role translates corporate narratives, strategic priorities, and reputation topics into impactful, data‑driven social media/media content and campaigns across global channels. It combines strategic expertise with strong operational execution, covering content creation and adaptation, campaign management, analytics, community monitoring, and continuous optimization.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
Enhance Sandoz general corporate social media and media presence and reputation.
Plan, create, and publish high‑quality social media content and campaigns.
Increase engagement, reach, and relevance through data‑driven optimization.
Ensure consistency in brand, tone of voice, and compliance.
Translate analytics and insights into actionable recommendations.
Major Accountabilities
Develop, plan, and execute global social media and media content calendars aligned with communications priorities.
Write and edit engaging, platform‑optimized social media posts.
Manage end‑to‑end execution of social media campaigns.
Create or adapt visual content (images, video, animations) or co‑create with agencies.
Monitor platforms, trends, and conversations across social and media landscapes.
Analyze performance data and provide clear insights and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to corporate, legal, and regulatory standards.
Support issues and crisis communications as needed.
Draft media materials including briefings, key messages, and statements.
Provide media support for major corporate events and initiatives.

Growth of followers and engagement metrics.
Reach and impressions of content and campaigns.
Campaign performance versus objectives.
Consistency and quality of content.
Quality and clarity of analytics and recommendations.
Contribution to media coverage outcomes.

Quality and timeliness of development of integrated communication plans and programs – Management and implementation of communication plans, campaigns, and projects against business objectives and priorities.
Maturity of business relationships, incl. at senior levels of the organization – Feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Bring To The Role
University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
5+ years of hands‑on social media management experience.
Corporate communications or media relations experience is an advantage.
Experience in regulated industries – preferably Pharma – is a plus.
Graphic design and tool proficiency (e.G., Photoshop, Canva) highly preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English).
Strong copywriting and storytelling capabilities.
Expert knowledge of major social platforms.
Proven campaign planning and execution skills.
Strong analytical and data‑interpretation abilities.
Hands‑on graphic design skills.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.
Experience in issues and crisis communication.
Ability to safeguard and enhance corporate reputation in complex environments.
Comfortable working with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around the market median, with those at the lower end of the range at the lower end and those with sustained superior or niche skills toward the higher end. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
