They are seeking a dynamic Development Lead to head up their main development teams, focusing on core products and spearheading their engineering initiatives in a rapidly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities for Development Lead include:
* Lead and manage three teams comprising multi-talented backend developers, frontend developers, QA engineers etc.
* Oversee the development operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality outputs.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development teams.
* Collaborate with the Architect Lead and Product Ownership Lead to align development strategies with overall business objectives.
* Drive the personal and professional development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
* Analyse team metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance team performance.
* Work closely with product owners and portfolio managers to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
Requirements for Development Lead include:
* Proven experience in scaling up within agile environments and building high-performing development teams.
* Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on results and accountability.
* Experience in analysing team metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ability to navigate high-pressure environments and manage complex situations effectively.
* Previous experience in establishing teams from scratch is highly desirable.
* Comfortable managing budgets and controlling financial resources.
