SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Join a large-scale renewable energy project portfolio, supporting multiple offshore wind developments across the EMEA region. You'll play a key role in conducting power system studies and ensuring compliance with grid code requirements through advanced simulation and modelling work.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Conduct power system studies in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSS/E across multiple project phases.
* Develop and validate dynamic and steady-state models for wind turbines, STATCOMs, and synchronous condensers.
* Perform RMS and EMT analyses to verify system performance under various operating conditions.
* Prepare technical documentation for grid code submissions and support the grid connection team.
* Automate study workflows using Python, DPL, or DSL scripting for post-processing and reporting.
* Collaborate with OEMs to secure model delivery, validation, and updates.
* Present findings clearly in technical reports and cross-functional discussions.
* Work independently while following established methodologies and QA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
* Proven hands-on experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSS/E, including analysis modules and add-ons.
* Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, DPL, DSL) for simulation automation and data handling.
* Deep understanding of vendor models for key electrical assets (wind turbine generators, STATCOMs, synchronous condensers).
* Solid communication skills and ability to document results to high professional standards.
* Experience working with grid code compliance or TSO verification processes.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a remote setup.
* Experience with PSCAD or other EMT tools.
* Familiarity with RMS–EMT model equivalencing.
* Understanding of APAC/EMEA grid codes and compliance processes.
