Explore this exciting opportunity as an Account Manager for Frozen Fruit and Vegetables. In this role, you will build strong customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and drive strategic growth. Join us to make an impact, grow sales, and strengthen our global presence. The Account Manager of Frozen Fruit and Vegetables will drive strategic account development across various segments and sites, working closely with account counterparts to ensure cohesive and aligned efforts. This role involves owning the account relationship, fostering strong and trusted customer interactions, and serving as the site-level face of JBT Marel. The Account Manager will focus on driving sales and ensuring ongoing engagement and networking to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

- Overarching: Conduct account planning jointly with customers to identify new opportunities
- Monitor sales and account performance against targets
- Own & develop customer relationship, understanding customer needs & driving comms.
- Plan and host both in-person and virtual events to create new leads/opportunities
- Proactively manage opportunity pipeline of segment and ensure it is continuously filled
- Continuously engage with key/strategic accounts (both in person and onsite)
- Proactively identify new business opportunities by ensuring continuous engagement and networking (e.G., new product introductions) and support in assessing value potential for customers
- Manage day-to-day and performance of any relevant agent networks, working closely with Channel Partner Lead
- Manage relationships with low-potential, infrequent customers to identify new opportunities
- Proactively create new leads/opportunities by following up with potential new customers
- Sales process: Own the end-to-end sales process & drives coordination with all involved stakeholders
- Proactive identification of opportunities (incl. feasibility assessment)
- Definition of scope, budget, timeline, etc. jointly with JBT stakeholders
- Preparation and negotiation of quote until contract closure
- Hand-over to responsible project manager
- Drive strategic account management incl. proactive identification of new opportunities and successful translation into projects for JBT
- Ensure direct sales coverage incl. regular (on-site) engagement to identify new sales opportunities and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain regular customer interactions through on-site and virtual events

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.G. marketing, business) or related field required.

Nice to have: 5+ years’ experience capital equipment sales / account management

Experience in food processing or industrial goods manufacturing

Valuable competencies and skills

- Strategic account planning: Expertise in account planning, developing strategies for growth and retention
- Understand account needs, adaptable to various strategies and cultures, and experienced with global teams
- Ability to understand market trends & make recommendations, even with incomplete information
- Ability to think strategically, identifying long-term opportunities and creating value for the customer
- Good food processing knowledge and key equipment process knowledge
- Interaction & Interpersonal Skills: Expert in customer management with proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Relationship management experience, driving commercial value through ongoing customer engagement (on-site events, virtual events, etc.)
- Interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and communicating with customers across seniority levels

Work Environment or Physical Demands

The physical demands for the Key Account Manager role primarily involve typical office-related tasks, such as prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer, and clear communication. The role may also require occasional travel, including driving and air travel, to visit clients and attend industry events. Standing for extended periods during presentations and carrying presentation materials may also be necessary. General mobility to move around the office, attend meetings, and visit client sites is required. The ability to handle and organize physical documents and materials is also essential.
