Descripción del puesto
Reportando al Sales Leader Industry (España), el/la Field Sales Engineer será responsable de desarrollar y hacer crecer la presencia de Hach en el territorio asignado, gestionando todas las actividades comerciales y asegurando una atención óptima a los clientes. Este puesto es remoto, con base en Madrid o Galicia, España, e implica un 100% de viaje a clientes en la región, incluyendo unas 10 noches de pernocta al mes.
In this role, a typical day will include:
* Alcanzar los objetivos de ventas y KPIs en el territorio asignado.
* Realizar actividades comerciales y visitas a clientes del sector industrial del agua.
* Ofrecer soporte técnico y asesoramiento para identificar necesidades y proponer soluciones.
* Preparar y dar seguimiento a ofertas técnico-comerciales.
* Gestionar cuentas de clientes y garantizar relaciones a largo plazo.
* Colaborar con equipos internos (Servicio Técnico, Finanzas, Marketing, Administración).
* Liderar proyectos regionales alineados con la estrategia de la compañía.
Requisitos esenciales:
* Entre 5 y 10 años de experiencia probada en ventas técnicas (solution selling), preferiblemente en el sector de tratamiento de aguas industriales o en industrias afines como Energía, Química, Papel y Celulosa o Alimentación.
* Historial sólido de cumplimiento y superación de objetivos comerciales, con resiliencia y orientación a resultados.
* Experiencia en el uso de sistemas CRM, preferiblemente Salesforce (SFDC).
* Disponibilidad para viajar con frecuencia por el territorio (40% de pernoctas).
* Permiso de conducir en vigor.
* Español fluido y nivel de inglés intermedio (suficiente para formaciones y onboarding en Düsseldorf).
* Formación técnica (Ingeniería, Química, Tecnología de Procesos, FP Superior, etc.) valorada, pero no imprescindible si se compensa con una sólida experiencia comercial.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Sales Leader Industry (Spain), the Field Sales Engineer – Industry is responsible for developing and growing Hach’s presence in the assigned territory, managing all commercial activities, and ensuring optimal customer care. This position is remote with 100% of travel to client sites within the region and 10 days of overnight stay during the month, based in Spain, with preference for Madrid or Galicia.
In this role, a typical day will include:
* Achieving sales targets and KPIs within the assigned territory.
* Conducting commercial activities and customer visits in the industrial water sector.
* Providing technical support and advice to identify customer needs and propose solutions.
* Preparing and following up on technical/commercial offers.
* Managing customer accounts and ensuring long-term relationships.
* Collaborating with internal teams (Technical Service, Finance, Marketing, Administration).
* Leading regional projects aligned with company strategy.
Essential requirements include:
* 5–10 years of proven experience in technical sales (solution selling), ideally in the industrial water sector or adjacent industries such as Power, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, or Food.
* Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with resilience and drive in customer-facing roles.
* Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce (SFDC), to manage pipeline and customer activity.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the territory (40% overnight stays).
* Valid driving license.
* Fluent Spanish and at least intermediate English (sufficient for training and onboarding in Düsseldorf).
* Technical education (Engineering, Chemistry, Process Technology, Higher Vocational Training, etc.) preferred but not mandatory if compensated by strong commercial experience.
