The Opportunity
The Vice President Sales will be a key member of the Executive Committee and will play a critical role in defining and executing the company’s commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will be responsible for driving sustainable growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of ambitious business objectives across international markets.
The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the organization’s sales strategy, aligning commercial initiatives with the company’s long‑term vision and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the company’s sales strategy to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
* Establish and deliver ambitious revenue, margin, and market share objectives.
* Lead commercial activities with Global Key Accounts and strategic customers.
* Identify new business opportunities and support the expansion into new markets and segments.
* Drive commercial excellence initiatives to enhance performance, processes, and customer engagement.
Leadership & Talent Development
* Lead, inspire, and develop high‑performing international sales teams.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
* Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities across the commercial organization.
* Build succession plans and strengthen organizational capabilities to support future growth.
Executive & Stakeholder Management
* Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on commercial matters.
* Present sales performance, market insights, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
* Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Innovation, and other key functions to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a senior commercial executive with approximately 20 years of relevant experience within the packaging industry.
The ideal candidate will have held senior leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, or General Management within leading global organizations, with regional and/or global responsibilities.
Key requirements include:
* Extensive experience in the packaging sector.
* Proven track record of delivering profitable growth in complex international environments.
* Deep understanding of major industry customers and key market dynamics.
* Strong experience managing large commercial organizations and budgets.
* Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively at Executive Committee and Board level.
