We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will work closely with the Cloud Architecture team to implement scalable, secure, and automated solutions aligned with established designs.
Responsibilities include managing infrastructure as code, optimizing performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting CI/CD workflows.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in AWS services, automation tools, and cloud security, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Perform technical duties as it relates to cloud computing including planning, design, and maintenanceKey Responsibilities:Evaluate new technologies and build effective solutions for robust solutions that are scalable and meet the needs of New Product Development (NPD) and other business requirementsDevelop and lead the implementation of portions of new cloud solutions in partnership with team members (e.g., Cloud Architects)Recommend Best of Breed Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure and Software solutionsIdentify IT Business processes impacting NPD and make recommendations for resolutionOther duties as assigned by ManagementEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in in Engineering or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management System, 4 years years experience of experience RequiredAdditional Skills:Experience with best of Breed Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure and Software solutionsGeneral experience with one of the following: AWS S3, Redshift, Azure DW, Azure Blob StorageProficiency with software tools for requirements management, engineering analysis, and statistical analysis.Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS preferredFamiliarity with container and resource management technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Mesos preferredGood written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skillsFull knowledge of Azure IaaS components like VMs, Virtual networks, Storage and PaaS components like App Service, Serverless computing, StoragFull knowledge of AWS VPCs, Subnets, EC2s, routingFull knowledge of IaC toolsets such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Powershell etc.Full knowledge of DevOps principlesAbility to write scripts in Javascript, Python, C++ is preferredStrict attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environmentAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/controlWhat is it like to work at Edwards Lifesciences in the Czech Republic?
