Position: Head of Air Freight - Spain

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising air freight operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability. This position requires a strong leader with deep expertise in air cargo logistics, carrier negotiations, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage air freight operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement strategies to expand and enhance air freight services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, carriers, and key stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and freight rates to optimise costs and service levels.
Lead and mentor the air freight team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain competitive advantage.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions.
Streamline operational processes to improve service quality and profitability.
Analyse performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in air freight management within the freight forwarding industry.
Strong knowledge of air cargo regulations, customs clearance, and global logistics.
Excellent negotiation skills and experience in carrier management.
Demonstrated leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.
Fluent in English and Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
