Company Overview
Our client is a fast-growing private equity fund focused on roll‑up investments across Spain. With offices in Barcelona and Madrid, the firm partners with ambitious entrepreneurs and management teams to consolidate fragmented sectors and build national leaders. More than 90% of Spanish companies are SMEs, and the firm’s mission is to help these businesses scale sustainably, creating value beyond financial returns and contributing to long‑term economic growth.
The firm has executed more than 25 acquisitions in less than two years across multiple platforms, rapidly establishing itself as a key player in the lower mid‑market. This position will be fully dedicated to one of the fund’s active buy‑and‑build platforms in the industrial services sector, which has already become one of the leading groups in its space.
Role Overview
The Private Equity M&A Specialist will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities within the platform’s buy‑and‑build strategy. Working closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company leadership, the Specialist will support all phases of the transaction process — from origination and valuation to due diligence and integration.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a fast‑growing private equity platform, gaining hands‑on experience in deal execution, portfolio management, and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, map, and prioritise potential acquisition targets aligned with the investment thesis
* Conduct financial and operational analyses, including valuation models and investment memoranda
* Engage directly with business owners, advisors, and management teams to originate proprietary deal flow
* Support due diligence processes, coordinating financial, legal, and operational workstreams
* Assist in post‑acquisition integration, performance tracking, and portfolio development initiatives
* Maintain and update CRM and pipeline management systems to ensure transparency and process discipline
Candidate Profile
* Strong academic background, ideally in finance, economics, engineering, or business from a leading university in Northern Spain
* Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, and analysis (LBOs, DCFs, comparables)
* Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Commercial mindset and confidence engaging directly with company founders and executives
* Self‑starter with a hands‑on attitude and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
This position offers a rare opportunity to develop a full investment skillset within a high‑performing private equity platform, contributing directly to the creation of Spain’s next generation of market leaders.
