We are looking for a Compliance Officer & MLRO to maintain and regularly update the AML/CTF policies, procedures, and controls based on the company's risk profile and regulatory developments.
You will conduct ongoing risk assessments and ensure that internal systems are in place to detect, assess, and mitigate money laundering risks. This role acts as the designated person for all regulatory reporting obligations.
Regulatory Reporting and Liaison Act as the designated person for all FINTRAC reporting obligations, including Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), Large Cash Transaction Reports (LCTRs), Electronic Funds Transfer Reports (EFTRs), and Terrorist Property Reports (TPRs)
Ensure all reports are accurate, timely, and meet regulatory standards
Liaise with FINTRAC, law enforcement, and other authorities as required
Internal Controls and Monitoring Oversee client onboarding, ensuring KYC and CDD processes are followed
Monitor transactions, review flagged activity, and initiate internal investigations if needed
Test the effectiveness of AML/CTF controls through regular audits
Training and Awareness Deliver initial and ongoing AML/CTF training to employees
Ensure all staff understand how to identify and escalation suspicious behaviour
