We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager Iberia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth strategy, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence. The Business Development Manager Iberia is responsible for the direct sales of Sequentia services and software in the private and research market in the assigned region. This position is responsible for developing sales strategies and tactics that achieve the revenue goals of the assigned region through direct and indirect channels.

Responsibilities
* Build new strategies and customer relationships across the assigned Sequentia product verticals (consulting services and software);
* Proactively identify new business opportunities;
* Conduct marketresearch to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, required capabilities, current customer preferences, competitive environment evaluations, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses;
* Coordinate andconduct meetings with clients, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
* Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and key opinion leaders to achieve revenue goals;
* Forecast and track key account metrics;
* Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly objectives to internal stakeholders;
identify areas of concern and assist in generating solutions;
* Report business development status to senior management;
* Assist customers via email, phone, online presentations, screen sharing, and in-person meetings;
* Analyze customer product usage to identify growth opportunities, account enhancements, and retention strategies.
* Assist and support new client integration;
* Liaise betweenthe customer and internal Sequentia teams;
* Collaborate with other BD line management to support cross-enterprise objectives and customer engagement;
* Participate inindustry events and trade shows, as well as in-person client visits to strengthen relationships and promote the company's projects and services.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Academic qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology, biotechnology, Bioinformatics life sciences, or related field.
* Master's or specific business-related studies (MBA or others) are positively valued.
Experience:
* At least 2 years or more of business development (B2B) in the assigned Industry.
Personal skills
* Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
* Understanding of omics sciences and technologies
* Experience in representing the company at national and international conferences and events.
* Deep knowledge of the assigned market and its main players.
* Proven track record of managing mid-level and high-level contacts.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Quantitative skills and the ability to work with financial and market data.
* Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
* Attention to detail.
Languages and required level:
* Spanish and/or Portuguese - Professional proficiency (B2-C1)
* English - Professional proficiency (B2-C1)
Other requirements:
* Willingness to travel, including national and international trips.
* A proven track record of consistently meeting sales goals.
* Familiarity with CRM
* Familiarity with Google Workspace, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project management software.
* Must be based in Barcelona or the surrounding area.
