As a Markets Research Analyst at X-ELIO, you will support commercial and strategic decisions across market intelligence, energy policy, project pipeline, and Mu0026amp;A due diligence for a US solar and storage portfolio. Based in Madrid, you will monitor US wholesale electricity markets and regulatory developments, build forecasting insights, and contribute to investment memos and board presentations. You will assess economics of BESS and interconnection strategies while coordinating with investment funds and banks. This role offers growth within a global renewable energy leader and a flexible, hybrid work model.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Monitor US wholesale electricity markets (ERCOT focus) and assess price trends, capacity, ancillary services, and RECs; develop forecasting models and report to senior management.
• Track federal and state energy policy developments (FERC, RPS, ITC/PTC/IRA) and produce briefs and position papers for leadership.
• Support site selection, interconnection strategy, and development decisions for US solar and storage; evaluate BESS economics and market participation; contribute to investment memos and board presentations. xpzdshu
• Assist Mu0026A, acquisitions, and financing rounds with market data and regulatory risk assessments; build revenue projections coordinating with investment funds and banks.
Responsabilidades
• 4+ years in energy markets, power trading, or renewable energy commercial roles
• Proficiency in forecasting tools (Aurora, Plexos, PROMOD or similar)
• Knowledge of PPA structures, VPPA mechanics, and offtake risk
• Advanced Excel; Python or R a plus
• Fluent English and Spanish
