The EU Hernia Product Manager is responsible for managing the synthetic mesh portfolio as part of the AR&R; (Hernia) portfolio of the Surgery BU, maximizing growth and profitability on the assigned EU market, according to regional marketing targets and guidelines. The EU PM will work in close collaboration with the EU PMs and Marketing Manager responsible for the Hernia meshes portfolio. The EU PM is expected to collaborate with other team members and across a variety of stakeholders within the sales and support functions to drive the commercial strategy for the synthetic mesh portfolio offering in the EU region.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of EU product portfolio strategies including value proposition, positioning, product promotion, pricing and portfolio lifecycle management.
- In conjunction with the EU Marketing Manager and country marketing teams, develop market-specific strategies and tactics for synthetic mesh offerings to ensure the BD Hernia portfolio is well positioned for success.
- Develop and maintain expert market knowledge (quantitative data such as market data and trends; qualitative data such as customer needs, technologies and applications).
- Develop and implement new product launch campaigns, aligning with market-specific strategies and coordinating launch activities with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Sales team with product information as the main Subject Matter Expert and contribute to product training initiatives regularly.
- Develop promotional material and marketing collateral that convey key messages, positioning and reflect brand essence.
- Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence database for the portfolio.
- Identify, evaluate and develop Key Opinion Leader (KOL) plans in conjunction with Professional Education & Medical functions.
- Develop and support market research activities (Voice of Customer) and Post Market Surveillance studies.
- Support with the evaluation and prioritization of interfacing and integration requirements in different markets and engage with third parties to plan and enable collaborations.
Qualifications
- Significant and proven experience in a commercial/marketing role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Medical or scientific degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Medtech industry, especially the surgery field.
- Experience working in a matrix organization, ideally in a multi-cultural environment.
- Fluent in English as a working language. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the EU region.

Primary work location: ESP San Agustín del Guadalix. Additional locations may apply.
Compensation
Salary range information: €41,900.00 - €67,025.00 EUR annual. Salary is determined by role requirements, location, and applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements.
