Role
Senior Consultants work closely with Engagement Manager, Principals and Partners to solve challenging client questions. Senior Consultants fully own assigned complex project and deliver components of the client engagement;
in addition, the seniorconsultant drives the success of each project and develops long‑term engagement with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manages the execution of a project, develops a plan to approach client’s needs, and leverages business experience and acumen in identifying strategies and project approach to client questions with limited guidance from senior roles.
Coordinate client and stakeholder engagements, leading meetings, reporting to clients on overall project execution.
Guide and review quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client deliverables.
Understands and anticipates potential issues and/or challenges deriving from the initial ‘problem’ and able to communicate this effectively to the project team and senior roles.
Coordinates the creation of entire reports, presentations, workshops, and other client deliverables.
Ensures the high quality, time and accuracy of complex deliverables.
Develops an in‑depth understanding of the life sciences and healthcare industry and a broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies through the delivery of consulting engagement and participation in formal and informal training programmes.
Provide oversight and direction to staff aligned with the organization’s policies / procedures, vision, mission statement, and values.
Business Development / Corporate Initiatives (up to 20%)
Support the Business Development process from lead discovery to proposal defence as part of the execution team.
Participate in corporate development by contributing to internal strategic projects, knowledge management, technology systems, and related functions.
Manage, coach, and coordinate Associates and/or Analysts and act as their point of reference for daily activities and training, among others.
Support preparation and delivery of sales presentations, including quotes and full proposals.
Support recruitment and oversee new employees onboarding.
Thought Leadership (up to 10%)
Support development of thought leadership projects, such as white papers, publications, specialised conferences and so forth.
Desired Qualification & Experience
4-5 years of professional experience in management consulting, private equity, Life Sciences companies, or health technology assessment (HTA) agencies.
Graduate degree with an excellent track record in either Life Sciences related, Business, Economics, or Engineering programmes;
PhD, specialised Masters in Life Sciences, MBA or similar degrees will be considered a plus.
Experience in managing and coaching teams of 2-4 people.
Technical Competences & Soft Skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to problem‑solve unstructured or ambiguous challenges.
Proven project management skills, including client interaction, full execution of deliverables, clear communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, being able to sell ideas effectively to internal and external stakeholders, and interpersonal skills, working in a multicultural environment.
Ability to Coach and develop staff, including goal setting, feedback, and performance development.
Versátil to accommodate changing priorities, with a positive and “can‑do” attitude.
Excellent English, both written and verbal. Another language can be a plus.
Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
Self‑starter who thrives in a less structured, collaborative environment.
