DevOps Engineer (Azure Fabric) - B2BStart: ASAPDuration: 14 monthsLocation: 100% remote (UK client)Rate: 290 - 390 EUR per dayThe Role:We are looking for a highly skilled Azure & Microsoft Fabric Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) with deep expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud infrastructure for modern data platforms. This role places a strong emphasis on Microsoft Fabric and Azure-native services, requiring someone who can confidently build secure, scalable, and cost-efficient environments that enable advanced data engineering and analytics workloads.Responsibilities- Lead the deployment and ongoing management of Azure infrastructure components supporting Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related data services.- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Terraform to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments.- Monitor and continually optimise Azure and Fabric environments for cost, performance, resilience, and scalability.- Configure and manage security across Fabric and Azure, including licensing, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, access controls, and Private Endpoints.- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data platform deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.- Provide advanced platform support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for Fabric and Azure infrastructure components.Experience & Knowledge Required- Extensive hands-on experience deploying, securing, and managing Azure infrastructure to support Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based data management platforms.- Strong background in IaC using ARM templates or Terraform, with experience automating end-to-end infrastructure deployments.- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, HCL, and JSON.- Solid understanding of Azure governance, identity, networking, and security best practices.- Practical experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data workloads.- Ability to work autonomously in a contract setting while delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions.
