Job Summary :
The HSE Manager role will have the exciting opportunity to drive an injury and environmental incident free HSE culture in a fast-growing organization. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of HSE you will partner with the various RRNA teams, to ensure our projects are following all required protocols and create a positive environment for the safety of our employees, contractors, the environment, and RRNA’s assets. It is required to establish and maintain clear lines of communication with internal stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors, maintain awareness of project HSE needs/issues and address these with the appropriate Repsol Renewables NA team.
The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

* M a n a g e H S E p o l i c ies a n d g u i de l i n es, en s u r i n g t hat they c o n f o r m t o regulatory r equ i r emen t s and the industry’s best p r a ct i c es.
* C lear c a p a c i t y t o i d en t i f y and m a n a g e r i s ks related to construction, commissioning, and operations of renewable energy projects .
* Implementation of compliance related to permit conditions, approvals, mitigation plans, and other commitments for renewable energy projects during construction and operations
* Review and assess the implementation of environmental management plans (EMPs), such as erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), vegetation management plans (VMPs), spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and waste management plans.
* P a r t i c i p a t es and/or leads in H S E r ela t ed d is c u s s i o n s at s i t e t o o l bo x t a l ks, c o n t r a ct o r and RRNA s t a f f m e et i n g s .
* Organize and deliver various safety and environmental t r a i n i ng.
* C oo r d i n a t e w i t h RRNA construction, operations teams, and the E P C c o n t r a c t o r t o a s s i s t a n d enh a n c e t he i r H S E c om pe t en c y and del i v e r y.
* P e r f o r m regular site assessments a n d i n s pe c tions o n p r o j e c t s i t es t o v e r i f y c o mpliance w i t h company policies, r e g u l a t o r y r equ i r emen t s, permits an d the c o n t r a c t o r HSE management p l a n .
* C oo r d i n a t e a n d a ss i s t RRNA S i t e M a n a g ement w i t h i n c i d ent i n v e s t i g a t i o ns t o de t e rm i n e ro o t c a us e a n d recommend corrective actions.
* Submittal of various H S E r ep o r t s a n d r e c o r ds o n as required by the company, permitting agencies, and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate and carry out d r i l ls and e xe r c i s es o n ho w t o m an a g e eme r g en c y s i t u a t i o n s .
* P e r f o r m H S E t a s ks o r o t her d u t ies a s r equ i r e d .
Required Qualifications:
* Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
* Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and various State regulations.
* Strong knowledge of renewable power generation and operational HSE standards.
* Experience with developing and implementing EMPs, SWPPPs, SPCC plans, and other environmental management documents.
* Experience conducting environmental field work, including site assessments, inspections, and monitoring.
* Ability to work constructively with the construction and operations teams to communicate site findings and follow through with solutions.
* Willingness and physical capability to climb wind turbines.
* Personal accountability and integrity.
* Strategic problem-solving skills with an analytic and creative mindset.
* Highly motivated, enthusiastic team player.
* Independent self-starter capable of managing dynamic priorities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
* Ability to effectively communicate findings, corrective actions and lessons learned.
* Strong planning and organizational skills as well as the ability to promote teamwork.
* Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and work independently under general supervision.
Education and Experience:
* A minimum of a BS degree in engineering, environmental science or other HSE related technical discipline from an accredited college/university is required.
* At least 5 - 10 years of HSE Program development, implementation, training, and leadership experience with a focus on business segments such as renewable energy or electric power generation.
* Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)) are a plus.
