Your role
We want to continue growing and, for this reason, we are looking to incorporate a HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) TECHNICIAN, who is eager to be part of a dynamic team, working on an international project within a process of growth and expansion in the coming years. The main objective of this position is to ensure compliance with management systems in the areas of occupational risk prevention and environmental protection.
You will be responsible for:
- Identify Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements for both internal and external personnel.
- Contribute to the definition and achievement of specific HSE objectives.
- Draft operational procedures and emergency response plans.
- Analyze workplace accidents: investigation and statistical management.
- Coordinate activities with external providers (mutual insurance companies, prevention services, ...).
- Advise on the management of HSE-related incidents.
- Audit corrective and preventive actions and participate in external audits.
- Supervise compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as improvements to machinery and installations.
- Act as liaison with authorities during inspections.
- Train internal and external personnel in HSE as needed.
Requirements
What do we look for?
You will fit this role if you have:
- University degree.
- Intermediate or advanced qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention, with at least one of the three specializations.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial company, or relevant professional experience in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of management systems based on ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Experience in a similar role within an industrial company, preferably in the metallurgical sector, will be valued.
- Language: English.
