Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Smart Hands Engineer with hands-on experience in Network Administration. The candidate will be responsible for providing onsite technical support, troubleshooting, and assisting with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite technical assistance for network and IT infrastructure.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
* Perform patching, cabling, and hardware replacement as per standard procedures.
* Support remote teams with hands-on tasks in the data center or office environment.
* Monitor and report on network performance and connectivity issues.
* Maintain documentation of network layouts, configurations, and changes.
* Ensure compliance with organizational IT and security policies.
* Coordinate with vendors and other IT teams for escalated issues.
* Assist with server and rack installations, cable management, and equipment labeling.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 2–5 years of experience in Network Administration or Smart Hands / Field Support roles.
* Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs) .
* Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or HP network devices.
* Hands-on experience in configuring switches, routers, and firewalls .
* Basic understanding of Windows/Linux server environments .
* Good understanding of LAN/WAN topologies .
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and documentation abilities.
* Ability to work independently and under pressure in an onsite environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
* Experience working in data center environments .
* Basic knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Request Management).
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
