Purpose of Role
The purpose of the ISP Teacher role is to drive improvements in student learning and professional practice, creating a positive and effective environment that supports academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative learning atmosphere.
Model ISP principles, share values, and foster a mission‐driven culture.
Focus on learner‐centred practice, design engaging lessons, and support diverse learning needs.
Engage in professional dialogue with colleagues, leaders, and ISP communities to improve teaching.
Use evidence of learning to set targets, review progress, and inform teaching adjustments.
Lead learning improvement, coordinate learning spaces, and collaborate with parents and carers.
Contribute to ISP learning improvement planning and support a culture of continuous development.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE.
Degree or equivalent in relevant subjects.
Good up‐to‐date subject knowledge and practical skills.
Successful secondary teaching experience.
Ability to motivate children of differing abilities.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and exam specifications.
Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
Enthusiasm and passion for learning.
Commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
Approachable manner and excellent interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
