Job Description
A position of Project Manager is now open in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) for different Space business: Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites). This role focuses on shaping the future through innovation of our products, new technologies and way of working, consolidating state‑of‑the‑art products, and continuously improving performance. The role involves travel as needed.

Responsibilities
- Plan, initiate, lead and execute projects within the Launchers & New Space Product line, applying project management processes, methods and tools to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
- Define and set‑up the project Work Breakdown Structure, including work‑packages, inputs, outputs, tasks, resources allocation, scheduling and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate tasks and activities of the Project Core Team and key interfaces with supporting departments.
- Serve as the customer focal point and main interface.
- Plan, identify, report and mitigate critical paths and track internal/external milestones.
- Manage risks and opportunities, identifying mitigation actions and tracking active opportunities.
- Control project costs, including contract change management and periodic financial review consolidation.
- Provide project reporting by delivering standardized dashboards, KPI’s and trend charts.
- Plan and organize project reviews and maturity gates.
- Ensure and follow proper configuration management.
- Support contractual data management.
- Set project development and management plans, defining hardware model logic and strategy to meet customer requirements and achieve milestones.
- Prepare offers.
Required Skills
- Degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or related discipline.
- Negotiation level communication skills in English and Spanish.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in project management.
- PMI certification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Active listening and leadership skills.
- Rigorous, autonomous, customer‑oriented mindset and ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, multi‑functional team‑working, flexibility, proactive behaviour.
