IT Purchasing Travel & Expense Management is Boehringer Ingelheim’s global area in charge of bringing cutting edge and state-of-the-art technologies to our business partners in the travel expense management and accounts payable business functions. With a strong set of systems, we support BI in achieving excellence in accounts payable and in travel expense management, which, among others, main goal is to meet the needs of our end users in a rapidly changing environment.
**Functions and Responsibilities**:
- Be responsible to provide the best IT solutions to the IT business in the area of travel expense management and participate technology feasibility assessments.
- Engage with business partners in the consultation, analysis, prioritization, and governance of demands for IT services.
- Manage to find creative and efficient solutions to complex business issues and demands.
- Keep a close eye on the market for best practices and stay in contact with our external strategic partners (e.g., SAP) to ensure BI is up to speed on necessary process/system improvements and innovation potential.
- Furthermore, lead and manage medium to high complex IT projects from beginning to end, including the definition of project scope and deliverables that support business goals and strategies.
**Profile & Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in IT in the area of Travel Expense Management or similar with a specific experience in SAP Concur
- Excellent understanding of system design and implementation methodologies, understanding of development technologies such as S/4 Hana, ABAP, and SAP BTP
- Deep experience in interfaces between systems such as SAP Process Orchestrator and WebIDE
- Experience in travel expense reimbursement, process automation, SAP analytics cloud and SAP BW
- Experience in automatic invoicing and with external vendor management is a plus
- Proven track record in executing large and complex projects and experience with a standard project implementation life cycle (waterfall and agile) is a plus
- Committed team player with strong interest in new technologies and solution oriented working behavior
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English are required (verbal and written)
