Reporting to Project Manager & Construction Manager Job Description This is recruiting on behalf of Sungrow Renewables Spain The Planning & Cost Manager is responsible for the integrated planning, cost control, and performance monitoring of a portfolio of EPC renewable projects, ensuring alignment with operational strategy, contractual milestones, and financial targets. The role operates under the Director of Operations and provides cross-project governance, with a strong focus on subcontractor coordination and execution reliability. Low, Medium and Hight voltage infrastructures knowledge Also knowledge in project planning (Base Line, delays, recuperation plans, cost, reports, MSProject...) Leading and coordinating Subcontractor plans for Renewable projects and interconnection infrastructures He or She should work close with the EPC team Additional is valuable experience in BESS project Valuable knowledge Hight voltage infrastructures, OH and underground lines and Substations. Key responsibilities Plannig & Scheduling Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across multiple projects. Ensure alignment between: engineering procurement construction commissioning Define and monitor: critical paths key milestones (grid connection, energization, COD) Special attention to interfaces between subcontractors Cost Control Develop and maintain cost baselines per project. Consolidate portfolio-level financial tracking. Monitor: committed costs (contracts) actual costs (execution) forecast at completion (EAC) Strong focus on contract-driven cost structures Integrated Cost–Schedule Control Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) across projects. Track: CPI / SPI schedule variance cost variance Identify trends and systemic risks across projects. Subcontractor Coordination Review and validate: subcontractor schedules progress reports cost evolution Ensure consistency between: HV Substation EPC timeline Civil works readiness Electromechanical installation & commissioning Avoid interface delays between packages. Risk & Opportunity Management Identify cross-project risks: supply chain constraints (transformers, batteries, PCS) interface misalignments resource bottlenecks Develop mitigation strategies and recovery plans. Claims & Change Management Assess impact of: variations / change orders delays from subcontractors Support Project Managers in: extension of time (EOT) claims analysis Quantify cost and schedule impacts. Reporting & Decision Support Provide standardized portfolio reporting to: Construction Manager Project Management Key outputs: project dashboards deviation analysis risk summaries recovery scenarios Skills And Qualifications • Bachelor's degree, electrical, civil or industrial engineering. •Preferred: PMP / PMI certification Specialized training in Cost Engineering • Minimum 3 years working experience in the same position in Spain • Understanding of EPC process from tendering to execution and start up. • Management – Good Project Management skills and Knowledge of MS Project, Excell, Primavera, • Demonstrated teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives. • Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Any other language skills will be a plus but not mandatory
