We are currently seeking a Consultancy and Services Category Buyer responsible for executing sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings, improve quality, and mitigate risks.
What will your day-to-day look like?
1. Category Management:
* Develop and implement strategies for Consultancy and Services aligned with the company’s objectives.
* Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market conditions, supply base, and emerging technologies within the assigned categories.
1. Sourcing and Procurement:
* Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, negotiating, catalogues, and contract management.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure procurement strategies meet business needs.
* Develop a supplier base that supports the company’s growth, quality, and innovation objectives.
* Manage supplier performance, including conducting regular reviews and addressing any issues or concerns.
2. Contract Management:
* Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management standards.
* Monitor contract performance and compliance, managing any changes or renewals as necessary.
3. Cost Management:
* Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
* Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) models to evaluate and optimize procurement decisions.
* Monitor and report on cost savings achieved and projected against targets.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities, category strategies, and market developments.
5. Risk Management:
* Identify and mitigate risks, including supply chain disruptions, financial instability, and compliance issues.
* Develop contingency plans to ensure supply continuity for critical projects.
6. Continuous Improvement:
* Implement best practices in procurement processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement function.
* Stay informed about industry best practices and innovations in IT procurement.
* Support the standardization of procurement processes and cataloging.
Requirements:
* University degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* At least 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations preferred.
* Specialized in procurement of Consultancy & Services, with experience in an international environment.
* SAP ARIBA experience is a significant plus.
* Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data management and reporting.
* Proficiency in English, Spanish, and French (additional European languages are welcome).
