Job Description:
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MAJOR END RESULTS

The jobholder is responsible for:

Contributing to the timely and successful contract adherence and performance by the Customer and Airbus Defence & Space.
- Managing conflicts and disputes during performance of contract, in close link with the corresponding Contract and Commercial Programme Managers.
- Encompass the organization and coordination of claims and major disputes.
- Provide robust expertise and proactive support to all Commercial and Programme´s disciplines, being the reference in terms of A400M Contract disputes.
- Duly supporting and liaising with Programme functions to boost C&C; expertise.
- Reinforce a continuous improvement of A400M C&C; performance and governance.
- Ensure a robust Documentation Management is in place.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACTIVITIES

In its role, the jobholder:

- Represents C&C; business interests in any internal and/or external meeting with the Customer and/or the Buyer.
- In the role of Commercial & Contracts Manager, the jobholder will drive the change of the company, leading the multi-functional team, from issue understanding and assessment to closure. The Commercial & Contracts Manager acts both as contract specialist and as multi-functional team leader.
- Becomes the reference related to Contractual disputes, in close link with Legal.
- Represents C&C; in front of the major programme organizations and provide benchmark service.
- Ensures quality and consistency of the deliverables, ensuring full internal ADS alignment with both C&C; function and Program interfaces (engineering, development, customer management, etc)
- Solicits inputs and coordinates with the different functions (Finance, Legal, Program, Costing, Engineering, etc)
- Understands all cost, price and cash elements as well as programme context.
- Identify and shares risks and opportunities from a contractual standpoint

PERSONAL PROFILE:
1.Educational Qualifications:

- Legal degree or equivalent qualification.
- MBA or other post graduate degree would be desirable.

2.Technical knowledge:

- Strong legal and contractual expertise and interest.
- Experience in UK law
- Practical experience in assessment of contractual risks. Ability to understand and manage contractual information and prepare decisions.
- Ability to manage contract structure and information and to convert complex technical processes and content into contractual wording.
- Experience in dealing with international commercial matters (such as contract negotiation, vendor management and/ or experience with procurement processes)
- Fluent in written and spoken English, including fluency in communication using commercial, legal, technical vocabulary. Any other language(s) would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of military programmes would be beneficial
- Experience in working in cross-functional teams

3.Professional skills:

- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret customer expectations and needs.
- Ability to develop and plan strategies, including ability to assimilate different facts and opinions in determining innovative solutions to satisfy a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, problem breakdown and solving.

4.Behavioural skills:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to manage and cultivate important relationships, both in house and with external customers is essential;
- Ability to manage complex tasks under time pressure and in a complex environment;
- Willingness to take ownership of problems and provide authoritative answers;
- Attention to detail, systematic behavior and reliability are necessary, with personal aspirations for continuous improvement essential;
- Ability to manage conflicts proactively and strong resilience under high pressure conditions;
