About the role
We are looking for a Corporate Controller to join the finance team of an international industrial group in Barcelona.
In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Controlling and work closely with the Finance Director. You will be responsible for monthly financial reporting to the Group HQ in Europe, ensuring that financial statements, KPIs and business information are accurate, consistent and delivered on time.
You will work with consolidation and reporting tools such as Tagetik, support IFRS reporting, manage IFRS 16 lease reporting through Planon, and help improve the quality and efficiency of financial processes.
This is a hands-on role with strong exposure to Group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, Capex follow-up, financial integration of acquired companies, and business cases for strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare monthly financial reporting to Group HQ, including financial statements and financial/non-financial KPIs
* Ensure reporting is completed under IFRS GAAP and aligned with local accounting standards
* Manage IFRS 16 lease reporting, including contract updates, changes and reporting impacts
* Maintain and improve reporting processes in Tagetik
* Build and update financial models and dashboards in Power BI.
* Support the annual budget and recurring forecast process.
* Contribute to Capex reporting and investment tracking.
* Support business cases, ROI analysis and feasibility studies for new openings.
* Help integrate newly acquired companies into Group reporting standards.
* Prepare executive presentations for Group HQ.
* Identify opportunities to improve, automate and simplify finance and reporting processes. xkdbapo
What we are looking for
* Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Finance or similar
* At least 3 years of experience in financial audit, controlling or financial reporting
* Advanced English
* Strong Excel skills and good analytical ability
* Knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 16
* Experience with consolidation tools such as Tagetik will be highly valued
* Experience with lease management tools such as Planon will be a plus
* Power BI knowledge will be valued
* Interest in using AI tools in finance to improve reporting quality, automation and efficiency
* Ability to work with different information systems and adapt quickly
* Proactive mindset, attention to detail and strong focus on continuous improvement.
