An established digital infrastructure and real estate company operating across the Iberian Peninsula is seeking a Site Manager to lead construction delivery of new data center sites in Spain and Portugal.

The role focuses on the end-to-end physical development of data center sites, from land preparation and early-stage planning through to civil works, urbanisation, and building delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring sites are technically and administratively prepared for construction and successfully delivered in line with programme, budget, and regulatory requirements.
This position is suited to an experienced construction site professional with a strong track record in major construction projects in Spain, particularly across civil works, urban development, or infrastructure-led builds.

Responsibilities
Support the organisation in the identification, assessment, and acquisition of land for data center development
Manage administrative and technical processes required to progress land to "build-ready" / finalised status
Oversee early-stage site preparation works, including enabling works and infrastructure readiness
Manage the execution of civil works, urbanisation, and building construction for data center developments
Coordinate all project stakeholders including contractors, designers, technical advisors, and engineering consultants
Support preparation, review, and negotiation of construction and development contracts
Oversee certification processes and ensure accurate validation of completed works and contractor deliverables
Monitor project progress across multiple phases, ensuring alignment with timelines, budget, and quality standards
Liaise with planning authorities, utilities, and external stakeholders during permitting and development stages
Ensure compliance with local planning, permitting, and construction regulations throughout the project lifecycle
Provide on-site and project-level oversight to ensure successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure developments
Qualifications
Strong background in civil works, construction delivery, or infrastructure development projects
Proven experience delivering large-scale building or urban development projects in Spain
Strong understanding of permitting, planning processes, and land development procedures
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including contractors, designers, and technical consultants
Strong organisational and project management capabilities across complex build programmes
Good balance of technical knowledge and administrative/project coordination skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset with ability to manage execution on site
Degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, or related field) or Architecture
Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction, civil works, or real estate development roles
Strong track record delivering large-scale infrastructure, urban development, or building projects
Experience with land development, planning, or "brownfield/greenfield" site preparation highly desirable
Familiarity with Spanish construction and planning systems and stakeholders essential
