**Salesforce (SFDC) Architect**:
As the SFDC Architect at Boehringer you will be responsible to use your technical skills to identify optimal solutions and will use your comprehensive knowledge of SFDC products to influence and grow the use of the SFDC platform, and will partner with colleagues to develop trusted solutions to further Boehringer’s goals. You will be the technical trusted advisor in the SFDC CoE and a key partner in the value delivery of new and existing solutions.
In this position you will hold the design authority, ensuring that the solutions that are developed for our global platform meet appropriate governance standards that you will shape.
***Tasks and responsibilities**:
- SFDC Solution Champion: As a trusted technology leader, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to champion the use of SFDC solutions. You will be an expert on SFDC product capabilities and be able to dynamically address different stakeholder groups to help champion the use and adoption of the SFDC platform. Your soft skills will help others understand the needs of the stakeholder groups, and you will use your SFDC knowledge to promote buy-in and grow understanding in the organization for the value of the SFDC platform.
- SFDC Architecture Management: Provide technical leadership SFDC developers and project teams, assessing and validating new solutions’ designs for the platform. Review and provide feedback to solution designs and ensure that solutions are validated against governance rules before deployments. Responsible to ensure that SFDC tools (platform, and associated systems owned by the SFDC CoE) have appropriate design and documentation. Including leading the selection, assessment, and implementation of new solutions.
- SFDC Governance Design Authority: Overall design authority to provide assurance that the solutions on the SFDC platform are fit for purpose, and that the overall platform health/stability is maintained. Define and employ governance through architecture standards (e.g. org strategy, data integration strategy, etc), design methodologies, development patterns, key usage guidelines, etc. to ensure that controls are established and adhered to. Accountable to establish correct formal governance gateways, and associated communication lines.
- SFDC Technical Strategy and Influence: Monitor industry trends and new technical innovations (SFDC and Pharma), generate, maintain and communicate SFDC roadmaps and use your knowledge and soft skills to influence key stakeholders in the further value that the SFDC platform and solutions can bring to the organization.
- SFDC Technical Reference: with your strong knowledge on systems design, software lifecyle, development patterns - along with SFDC skills on Flows, Apex, Triggers, etc. - you will guide the SFDC solutions and projects to success through design and development quality excellence
**Requirements**:
- Bachelors’ and/or /Masters’ degree (or equivalent working experience); progressive IT and deep business knowledge. Pharma industry experience beneficial.
- As a senior technical role you will hold deep SFDC technical experience. You will have been involved in several SFDC implementation projects, and will come with knowledge of the SDLC patterns, tooling, and methodologies from a variety of sources.
- Salesforce certifications required - Platform Developer, Administrator. Valued further certifications: Application Architect, Data Architect, IAM Architect, Integration Architect.
- You will come with a toolkit of SFDC experience and knowledge, spanning technical platform/product knowledge and functional experience of SFDC in action. Veeva experience will be beneficial.
- you will demonstrate ownership of outcomes by personally ensuring the successful definition and completion of tasks. Either by your own action, or by leveraging the resources around you to make impactful decisions and take action.
