A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of a leading power electronics international company and be responsible for the development of embedded firmware of multi-MW power converters for renewable markets, like wind, solar or battery storage. You will be working closing with converter hardware designers and control algorithms developers to design, validate and support the business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop state-of-the-art products to improve renewable energy penetration in the general energy mix.
- Propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance.
- Review relevant requirements and standards to clarify software and firmware engineering needs, and write software and firmware specifications, requirements, and design documents.
- Develop and integrate software / firmware modules using C / C++ for embedded real-time systems. Confirm and validate changes made, ensuring alignment with quality processes and firmware lifecycle standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to support product testing and certifications.
- Support presales, commissioning, and aftersales efforts by cooperating with various teams across the company.
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development using C / C++.
- Proven experience in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) development.
- Deep knowledge of embedded systems and firmware design for ZYNQ SoC.
- Understanding of control engineering basics, including control diagrams and PIDs, and experience in analyzing, diagnosing, and solving problems in complex systems.
- Strong autonomy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills with co-workers and customers.
- General work includes source code files, technical documents, and verification test reports.
- Nice to have : Experience in source control management, VHDL programming, digital signal processing, digital hardware design basics, PCB design knowledge, lean agile experience, and basic knowledge of power electronic converters and electrical machines.
