Experteer Overview As Category Manager at Flowserve, you will own end‑to‑end category strategies that drive value, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation across assigned spend. You’ll combine strategic sourcing, market intelligence, and analytics to align with business goals and deliver long‑term growth. You act as the commercial owner of your categories, pursuing value beyond price through innovation, resilience, and total cost of ownership. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to realise procurement initiatives and support ESG objectives, helping Flowserve sustain its leadership in flow control solutions.Compensaciones / Beneficios
- Develop and implement end‑to‑end category strategies aligned with business, operational, and financial goals
- Analyze spend, market dynamics, and supply risks to identify cost savings and resilience opportunities
- Lead strategic sourcing activities including RFPs, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract implementation
- Support supplier relationships, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives with Supplier Managers
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Business Units, Procurement, Quality and Supplier Management) to align category plans with business needs
- Drive contract compliance negotiations and implementation to realise value
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, localisation, dual sourcing, or innovation
- Monitor and report category KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, risk exposure, and service levels
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support transformation initiatives like digital procurement tools, supplier rationalisation, or ESG objectivesResponsabilidades
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or related areas
- Proven experience leading negotiations and managing complex categories
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with data interpretation skills
- Experience with ERP systems and spend analytics tools (e.G., SAP, Oracle, Power BI)
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Strategic thinking and structured problem solving
- Project management and prioritisation
- Clear communication and executive‑level presentation skills
