The Air Freight Operations Specialist manages air freight shipments, coordinates with airlines and internal teams, ensures documentation accuracy, and monitors the shipment process to guarantee efficient and timely delivery.
Essential Job Functions:
* Prepare documentation and carry out import/export operations (customs instructions, bookings with airlines, organizing collections with carriers, etc.).
* Track shipments as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery.
* Handle client billing and validate supplier invoices.
* Communicate with clients regarding shipment management (e.G., tracking, routing and clearance, and rate quotations).
* Communicate and coordinate with other company branches and agents to ensure customer satisfaction and excellent service.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
* Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

* Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
* Professional attitude; hardworking individual with quick learning ability and excellent memory for situations, events, and figures.
* Strong computer skills at user level.
* High level of English.
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Minimum 3 years of related experience.
* Minimum 2 years industry experience preferred.
* Fluent in English and Spanish required.
