Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Administration & Accounting is looking for a Junior Customer Billing to join its team!
As Customer Billing Junior Associate, you will be the trusted point of reference for student accounts at IE University. You will ensure that every invoice, payment, and reconciliation tells a clear story — keeping client balances (Account 430) accurate and consistent across billing, collections, and due dates.
Beyond the numbers, you will be the human face of our finance operations: helping students understand their financial status, resolving questions with empathy and clarity, and turning complex processes into straightforward conversations.
You will also support revenue management for other departments and entities within the IE Group, playing a key role in keeping our institution running smoothly.
Location: Madrid - IE Tower.
Responsibilities
Manage student enrollment and billing processes end-to-end, in close coordination with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registry, and Academic Departments.
Process and reconcile daily bank transactions, ensuring every accounting entry is accurate and traceable.
Oversee donations from both an accounting and administrative perspective.
Be the go-to person for student inquiries on account statements, payments, due dates, and financial conditions — providing clear, accurate, and empathetic explanations.
Qualifications
Must-have
Academic background — Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Relevant experience — Previous work in billing, collections management, or accounts receivable.
Accounting foundations — Solid understanding of accounting principles and confidence working with day-to-day financial operations.
Digital fluency — Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Bilingual communicator — Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Customer mindset — Ability to explain financial information in a clear, patient, and approachable way.
Global mindset — Comfortable working in international, multicultural environments.
Team player — Strong collaborative mindset, working effectively across departments and teams.
Nice-to-have
ERP & financial systems — Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 ERP or treasury platforms such as Kyriba.
AI-driven mindset — Experience and willingness to learn and apply AI-driven tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) in administrative and accounting processes.
Analytical eye — Curiosity for spotting inconsistencies in data and turning them into actionable improvements.
Higher-education context — Previous experience in academic institutions or service-oriented organizations.
