Technical manager satellite teleport

ARQUIMEA, we are a technology company operating globally and providing innovative solutions and products in highly demanding sectors.

Our areas of activity are Aerospace, Defense & Security, Big Science, Biotechnology and Fintech.

Main function: Technical lead responsible for the design, deployment, integration, and validation of the teleporter ground segment (RF systems, infrastructure, control and security systems), through acceptance and commissioning.

Technical Scope: The project includes:

A teleport in Tenerife with Ku-, Ka-, and C-band antennas for GEO and LEO operations

Control center, data center, redundant communications and power systems, and security systems

Integration with fiber and submarine cable networks to enable Europe–Africa connectivity

Tasks to be performed:

Engineering and architecture

Definition and validation of the ground segment architecture (RF, IF, data center, SOC, NOC, communications, power systems).

Technical supervision of:

Antennas and RF systems

Baseband systems

IT/data center equipment

SOC and NOC

Redundant electrical systems (transformer, generators, UPS)

Fiber and communications infrastructure

Technical Procurement

Preparation of technical equipment specifications.

Technical evaluation of proposals.

Technical management of critical suppliers.

Integration and validation

Supervision of installation activities.

Definition and execution of the Test & Evaluation plan.

Validation of:

Subsystem acceptance tests

On‐Site Ground Segment Acceptance Test

Commissioning and operational readiness

Cybersecurity and resilience

Compliance with ISO 27001 and the Spanish National Security Framework (ENS), based on identified risks.

Design of a secure architecture for satellite operations.

Space Segment Interface

Coordination with constellation teams (Canarysat, IRIS2, or others).

Definition of TT&C interfaces and service links.

Required candidate profile:

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Aerospace Engineering, specialized in satellite systems.

Specific Training / Knowledge Required in:

Experience in:

Ka-band antennas and RF chain

NOC/SOC environments

Integration of mission‐critical 24/7 systems

Ability to technically manage multiple contractors.

Professional‐level technical English required.

Minimum Required Experience:

≥10 years of experience in the design or deployment of ground segments or teleports.

KPIs to Be Achieved:

Compliance with technical requirements approved at CDR (Critical Design Review).

Successful completion of acceptance tests with no critical non‐conformities.

Initial availability ≥ 99.9%.

On‐time delivery of operational readiness.
