We are seeking a Commercial Product Specialist that will enjoy engaging with both clinical and administrative hospital staff covering the territory around A Coruña, Ferrol, Lugo. After completing a comprehensive 7-week training program in English, you will arrange and travel to your appointments at the units where open and laparoscopic surgeries are performed. You will engage in peer-level conversations with surgeons, nurses, other healthcare professionals and relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and propose solutions for a variety of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Colorectal, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Urology, Upper GI, ENT and Breast.
This dynamic field position requires you to live in A Coruña city, Lugo or the surrounding area. There is no local office, but you will be in regular contact with the Spanish sales team and international colleagues based in the Netherlands (our European Headquarters). Within Applied Medical the title of this position is Territory Manager, and reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Identify key stakeholders within product segment
Create effective business plans and approach strategies with your Regional Sales Manager
Demonstrate the use of our products to surgeons, practice staff and nurses
Attend orientation, education & scrub sessions
Work closely together with the Customer Service and Tender & Contracts teams on public tenders, price quotations, order samples, and customer issues
Attend conferences for surgeons and other medical staff in your territory
Frequent travel across the territory
What You Bring
Bachelor's or University degree level
Commercial experience in sales and customer engagement
Experience in the hospital setting as a sales representative or product specialist
You are comfortable in an operating room environment
You have excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills in Castillano; command of Galiciano is not required but would be an advantage
Good oral and written communication skills in English
You live in, or close to, A Coruña or Lugo area
