Overview
The Interaction Designer is a key member of the Verisure Design Group, reporting to the UI Design Manager. The role will be based at our R&D centre in Madrid, Spain with possible European travel. This position is fundamental in delivering world-class interaction design solutions across the Verisure digital and physical product portfolio. You will evolve customer touch-points as technology, behaviours and design patterns change.
As a Junior Interaction Designer you will contribute to the creation, development, refinement, and documentation of innovative interaction design solutions aligned with Verisure design objectives and goals. The role covers both tactical projects and programs as well as strategic and explorative workstreams.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to shaping new product & service experiences from early concept exploration to design solutions across our digital portfolio including Web, App and proprietary interfaces.
* Define the overall experience of new products and solutions including user flows, wireframes, and related documents according to our guidelines, patterns, design system, and design principles.
* Take a hands-on role in both small and large-scale user experience projects when requested.
* Envision and communicate concepts using appropriate design tools to illustrate touch points across the customer journey.
* Collaborate with the Global Design Team, product managers and engineers to balance technical and business requirements.
* Contribute to and refine existing services to improve the overall user experience.
* Work with team members to uncover insights and opportunities by participating in usability tests, research, and prototyping activities.
* Understand modern project management methodologies (such as agile, lean UX).
* Apply knowledge of digital trends and industry best practices to evolve products and features as appropriate.
* Support the Global Design Team and UI Design Manager through internal initiatives, including documenting solutions, exploring new skills and ways of working.
* Support, contribute and actively present design solutions to stakeholders through presentations and handovers.
* Support the IT organization during development and validate implementation throughout the process.
Required Qualifications
* 0-2 years of experience in the domain of interaction design.
* A University degree (preferably BA or BS) in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related design field.
* A keen eye for design details within UX/concept design, user-centric design and innovation with a focus on interaction design.
* Ability to apply modern interface principles to design solutions.
* Experience working with user journeys, wireframes and UI specifications.
* Fundamental experience with UX tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud; ability to quickly bring ideas to life through lo-fidelity concepts to functional prototypes.
* Fluent in English, written and spoken.
