Consignment Manager EMEAJob Description Summary: The Consignment Manager will serve as a subject matter expert in consignment governance, driving the effective, compliant, and financially sound management of consigned medical devices and supplies across the region. Accountable for achieving key operational goals, supporting cross‑functional project teams, and influencing the development and execution of operating plans. The Consignment Manager provides input into strategy, resource planning, and business decisions, with direct impact on operating income and P&L.;
Main Responsibilities
Develop and improve policies for consignment and trunk stock management, influence the evolution of governance frameworks to support growth and operational excellence.
Ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.G., EU MDR), represent BD in audits related to consignment and drive remediation of findings.
Oversee consigned inventory across multiple locations, ensuring optimal stock levels and ROI, leverage advanced analytics to inform inventory strategy and decision‑making.
Conduct regular reconciliations and drive corrective actions for inventory discrepancies, prevent overstock, expiry, and loss through proactive inventory controls and reporting.
Act as the main point of contact for complex consignment issues with key customers and internal stakeholders, support high‑level negotiations and resolve escalated service‑level challenges.
Serve as the subject matter expert for consignment strategy, technology, and process innovation, drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive the implementation of new technologies (e.G., SAP4, RFID) to enhance inventory visibility and efficiency, ensure data integrity and governance to support strategic decision‑making.
Identify and mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks related to consignment, develop and enforce controls to prevent unauthorized use or movement of inventory, ensuring recall readiness.
About You
5–7 years’ experience in med tech, supply chain, or hospital inventory management, with a proven track record of leadership and impact.
Recognized expertise in medical device quality, regulatory requirements, and inventory management systems (e.G., SAP/S4Hana).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive operational and financial results.
Advanced analytical, stakeholder management, and process design skills.
Strong business acumen, with experience influencing P&L; and contributing to strategic planning.
Proficient English level.
