Description
Bumble is looking for a flexible, culture-centric, curious, and proactive Associate People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team, with a focus on partnering with our Finance and Legal teams. Based in the US, you will work closely with a team of People & Culture Business Partners and cross-functional specialists, and will have a high level of autonomy for solving day-to-day people and organizational challenges with people-related solutions. You will work closely with employees and managers to advise, challenge, and support them as our business continues to evolve.
Bumble is growing fast, so the ideal candidate will be flexible and open to an evolving scope of work, with experience in handling international employment across multiple territories.
This role reports to the Director, People & Culture Business Partner based in New York.
What you'll be doing
1. Providing day-to-day support to Finance and Legal teams, including answering questions about policy application, compensation discussions, talent development, and performance management guidance.
2. Coaching and guiding employees and managers.
3. Working on strategic people-related projects such as team structure, employee engagement, organizational culture, and change management.
4. Collaborating with the Compensation & Benefits team to develop our compensation philosophy and reward mechanisms, and advising leaders on compensation decisions.
5. Supporting performance management processes and initiatives, including designing and implementing workflows during our Workday rollout.
6. Partnering with the People & Culture team on the design, implementation, and management of people processes and systems to build and maintain our global culture.
7. Advising on staffing strategies and hiring decisions in partnership with Talent Acquisition, and supporting talent planning efforts.
8. Managing complex Employee Relations cases across multiple geographies including the UK, US, and Spain.
About you
* Experience working with Finance, Accounting, and/or Legal functions in startup or scale-up environments; experience in larger organizations is a plus.
* Solid knowledge of employee relations processes and employment legislation, with additional international knowledge being advantageous.
* Experience managing and resolving complex Employee Relations cases independently.
* Ability to work closely with business leaders as a strategic partner, influencing and challenging when needed.
* Proficiency with data analysis and spreadsheets, including pivot tables and lookups.
* Experience with Workday is a bonus.
* Strong understanding and passion for Bumble’s culture and mission.

* Ability to handle ambiguity, tight deadlines, and multiple priorities in a startup environment.

* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Ideally, a generalist background or People Ops experience.
Base Compensation Range: $89,000 - $120,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off.
