We are looking for a Junior to Intermediate-level Electrical Engineer to join our Cost Management team. Specialising in data centre projects, the role will focus on the cost management of electrical installations throughout the project lifecycle, from early cost advice through to settlement of the final account.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies.
Preparing cost plans and cost-in-use studies.
Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.
Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process, including the design of tender evaluation criteria.
Evaluating and reporting on tender submissions.
Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
Settling final accounts.
Reviewing and commenting on electrical specifications, drawings, and technical submissions for cost implications.
Supporting the commercial management of electrical packages during construction, including the assessment of progress claims and variations.
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of cost databases for data centre electrical systems.
Administering contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent, where required.
Producing and presenting reports to clients.
Managing service delivery to achieve profitability targets.
Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular, those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for
Experience, Knowledge And Key Skills
Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable.
Strong understanding of electrical systems (HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, PDUs, etc.).
Clear and effective communication skills.
Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.
Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Fluent level of English and Spanish.
Eligible to work in Spain.
Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
