About the Role
ALTEN is seeking a Labor Law & Employment Relations Specialist to join our team in Spain. In this role, you will provide expert legal guidance on Spanish and EU labor laws, manage collective labor relations, and ensure compliance across our operations. You will collaborate closely with HR, finance, and leadership teams to align labor strategies with business objectives while mitigating legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Labor Law Advisory & Compliance
- Provide expert legal advice on Spanish and EU labor laws, including employment contracts, collective bargaining, working conditions, and termination procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, social security laws, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on ALTEN’s workforce.
2. Collective Labor Relations
- Negotiate collective bargaining agreements and manage consultations for collective dismissals (ERE/ERTE), restructuring, and equality plans.
- Represent ALTEN in labor inspections and collaborate with worker representatives and unions.
3. Contract & Employment Relations Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, collective agreements, and non-compete clauses.
- Advise on hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
4. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Represent ALTEN in labor courts, mediations, and arbitrations for employment disputes.
- Develop strategies to minimize legal risks and resolve conflicts efficiently.
5. Labor Policy Development & Training
- Design and implement internal labor policies (e.g., remote work, adaptable schedules, code of conduct).
- Provide training on labor law compliance and best practices.
- Support restructuring processes (layoffs, transfers, redundancies) with legal and ethical precision.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with HR, finance, and operations to align labor strategies with business goals.
- Advise on international labor mobility, including expatriate contracts and cross-border employment issues.
