Product Stewardship Analyst
As Product Stewardship Analyst you will monitor new and changing regulations in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will also provide subject matter expertise, data management, and analytical support for chemical regulations (e.g. REACH, BPR, POP, etc).
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess global emerging or changing chemical regulations that could impact BD’s ability to place products on the market; collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct initial impact analysis and oversee status of business/region responses.
- Maintain regulation and chemical 'watch lists', track and coordinate requests for input from industry groups, government agencies and NGOs; provide, collect and consolidate BD input.
- Serve as subject matter expert on chemical regulations; maintain up-to-date knowledge, ensure that internal stakeholders understand requirements, track and report progress towards relevant deadlines.
- Collect, analyze and govern chemical regulation related data, and complete or support submissions.
- Provide guidance, training and support on chemical regulations to the global businesses, functions, regions and plants.
- Lead or actively contribute to assigned chemical compliance projects.
- Develop chemical regulation related data and documentation for customers and suppliers.
- Ensure required software programs (e.g. REACH-IT, IUCLID, SAP, etc.) are monitored and updated.
- Support overall ongoing chemical compliance processes, identify and implement opportunities for improvements.
- Support ongoing data governance and associated activities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in chemical regulations such as REACH.
- Self‑starter capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders worldwide.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment to meet regulatory and business needs.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP and database programs is helpful.
