About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Food & Beverage Department, the
Hostess
is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and personalized dining experience from arrival to departure. The Hostess reports to the Restaurant Manager.
As Hostess, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
Managing reservations and coordinating table seating efficiently.
Ensuring optimal guest flow and minimizing waiting times.
Maintaining clear communication with the service and kitchen team.
Personalizing guest experiences and handling special requests.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
As Hostess, we expect from you:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent grooming and presentation.
Highly responsible and reliable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with a multicultural mindset.
Strong focus on guest satisfaction, always remaining calm and courteous.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
