**As a data scientis you'll be in charge of the following responsabilities**:
Big Data Analytics (BDA) is the function committed to be a trusted partner that
provides the customer insights needed by the EBU segments to define the Customer Strategy
and operational Plans.
BDA mission is to provide deep knowledge of all our customers to offer them the products, services and experiences they need just in the right moment when they need them.
Within BDA, Analytics Team responds to what, where and when it is happening with our customers for each life cycle stage (Acquisition, development, retention)
We identify business opportunities by having a deep knowledge of business scenarios, detecting behavioral patterns, and diagnosing and analyzing root causes.
The Business Analyst will support their functional area across Vodafone Business and generate insights by supporting fact-based decision making using business data. This includes implementing and managing data elaboration flows with a view to provide KPIs, metrics, trends and visual (digital) storyboards using a variety of technologies and analytical techniques. Working with the operational teams to target areas of opportunity or improvement and maximize business value through combining reports analytics and data warehousing to enable profound insights. The role may require the importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modelling of data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision-making purposes.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provide insightful and added value analysis to drive business objectives
- Support business decisions based on customer insights and advice on business opportunities and recommendations
- Identify opportunity areas for customer value improvement (both strategic and more tactical) across all the customer lifecycle (acquisition, development, renewal, retention)
- Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic systems
- Develops smart and insightful dashboards and reports, tracking performance across channels to promote data-driven decision-making and optimize conversion
- Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement through analysis of complex data sets
- Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
- May extract, load or transform data from different sources either via scripting (e.g. SQL) or coding (e.g. Python);
**Experience**
- 5+ years' experience in data analysis role
- Analytical background
- Proven experience collecting, organizing and analysing significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Managing and presenting to senior management
- Proven experience to convey technical information in an appropriate format that ensure understanding by a range of business audience
- Proven experience in customer segmentation projects
- Strong knowledge and experience with deep-dive analyses, providing insights and handles ad-hoc queries on a broad range of questions
- Hands-on experience on the following languages/tools or their equivalents:
SQL and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)
- Reporting tools (Power BI, Business Objects, click view, etc )
- Python and mathematical libraries (Pandas, Numby, matplotlib etc..), SAS, SPSS, R, or other modelling/statistical tools
**Skills and qualifications**
**Essential**
- Master’s (preferred) or degree in science fields like Mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, engineering
- Strong business sense, Excellent communication and comprehension skills: confident communicating with people of differing levels of seniority, analytical understanding and from a wide variety of backgrounds
