As an Energy Transition Risk Consultant you support underwriters by assessing industry-specific risks tied to energy transition tech. You collaborate with energy, construction engineering teams and clients to optimize risk knowledge and reduce losses, helping build a profitable, growth-oriented risk consulting practice. You will contribute to AXA XL’s global energy strategy and share insights on trends and emerging issues to advance a decarbonized economy. This role offers cross-functional exposure, travel opportunities, and the chance to shape risk solutions for renewables and new technologies.

• Advise underwriters on industry-specific risks for energy transition technologies
• Collaborate with energy and construction engineering teams to support the energy portfolio
• Engage with underwriters, brokers, and clients to discuss risk consulting solutions and carbon emissions reduction
• Conduct site visits to assess location-specific risks and report findings to underwriting and clients
• Provide insights on industry trends and technical information to energy engineers and underwriters
• Enhance risk knowledge, help select profitable clients, and reduce losses in compliance with technical guidelines
• Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to energy transition learning
• Support local claims teams to improve understanding of paid losses
• Report to the Risk Consulting Energy Transition leader with dotted line to the Risk Consulting Manager Spain
Responsabilidades
• Engineering degree (industrial, mechanical, or chemical)
• Experience in the Energy Industry or in a similar risk consulting role for an insurer
• Experience with renewable technologies (wind, solar, BESS)
• Other relevant experience in thermal xpzdshu power generation or oil & gas is useful but not essential
• Interest in energy transition and emerging technologies
• Autonomous, curious, motivated self-starter with good relationship skills and team orientation
• Willingness to travel as required
• Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus
