We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. Please note that this role involves working on a shift rotation that includes working early mornings, nights and weekends. Perform Operational Monitoring: Conduct routine rounds and take daily operational readings of electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPS systems, switchgear, circuit breakers, automatic transfer switches, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC systems, exhaust fans, variable frequency drives, and transformers.
Diagnose and resolve operational events within established service level agreements, applying your electrical and mechanical knowledge to restore systems to optimal performance.
Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Supervise contractors performing servicing and preventive maintenance on critical facility equipment, ensuring work meets standards and timelines.
Contribute to the overall reliability and efficiency of data center operations through consistent attention to equipment performance and facility needs.
In this role, you'll be the technical guardian of our data center operations, working hands-on with electrical and mechanical equipment that powers our cloud infrastructure. Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls
* Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
* Fluency in English (for non-English speaking countries only)
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
- Experience in operations of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems and Data Center engineering experience
